Thematic Art Competition for National Copyright Award, 2021

Objective
The art competition is aimed to encourage and inspire artists across the country to create and innovate through artistic expressions on the critical role of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the economy and how they can leverage on Intellectual Property (IP) rights to drive innovation, creativity and competitiveness, thereby, building stronger and resilient businesses. Through artistic expression, we envisage to create general awareness on the importance of some of the IP titles like Copyright and Related Rights. The winning art would be incorporated as the cover page design for an annual intellectual property magazine, 2021.
Thematic concern
The theme is based on the World Intellectual Property Day 2021 theme: IP & SMEs – Taking ideas to the Market.
Art specifications
The art expression can be either digital or manual and must be submitted in hard copy. To maintain the uniform art size, it must be submitted in A2 size paper of quality and types at individual discretion
Evaluation Criteria
The following criteria will be used to evaluate the art:
- Interpretation and clarity of theme
- Creativity
- Uniqueness and Originality
- Neatness and Craft
- Overall impression of the art
Time frame
The art work must be submitted latest by 20/04/2021 before 3PM
Prizes
The top three artists will be rewarded with attractive cash prizes as follows:
- First – Nu. 50,000/-
- Second – Nu. 30,000/-
- Third – Nu. 20,000/-
